So you have finally decided that your next home will be extra small compared to your current home? If that’s the case, you should know by now that small homes do not have as much space as larger homes so there are some features, areas, and things that you may have to live without. However, this doesn’t mean that you should have an uncomfortable and inconvenient lifestyle once you move to a smaller home. There are so many incredible ideas we’d love to share with you. The possibilities still remain endless for as long as you have the most basic home areas.

When you have a large house with lots of space, you can have several bedrooms, more than one living area, the main kitchen and a secondary kitchen, kitchen islands, more than one bathroom, a study area, a wine room, a music room, a game room, and the list goes on! Of course, it would be impossible to fit all these and more in a small home but that doesn’t mean you can’t have everything you need anymore. You just have to be creative!

Small BedroomYou can design your kitchen efficiently so that it has enough storage and working space. You can install foldable tables that are attached to your countertops so that you can have a kitchen island when you need it. This could serve as your dining area as well.

Your living area can also become your study area, music room, and so on. In fact, many small home owners use their living area as their dining area and bedroom too! Once again, the key is proper organization and creative designing.

The bedroom and bathroom areas are obvious necessities. It wouldn’t be a real home if you couldn’t sleep and bathe in private, right?
